Job Description:

As an Analyst with TKO Miller’s M&A practice, the candidate’s primary responsibilities will include assisting in the creation of deal-related documents (confidential information memoranda, management presentations, pitch presentations), assisting in providing due diligence support (organizing deal-related documents and managing electronic data rooms), and developing financial statements and valuation models. Other responsibilities may include special research and analysis projects, assisting with the preparation of marketing materials, and assisting transaction teams with other day-to-day responsibilities. 

You will have opportunities to observe and participate in transaction meetings and conference calls, and have visibility into the daily workings of TKO Miller’s M&A operations.

Skills/Requirements:

As this position will directly support TKO Miller’s investment banking team on active transactions, you must have an excellent academic background with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a quantitative aptitude with a high level of focus on work quality and attention to detail. You must demonstrate impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders. You must possess personal integrity, initiative, and leadership qualities. You must have an unparalleled work ethic, be self-directed, and have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or other research platforms would be helpful. 

Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, or some other business or quantitative / STEM field. One to two years of previous professional experience or prior internship experience in the financial or business services field, is preferred.

TKO Miller provides services in three primary practice areas: sell-side transactions (private companies, divestitures for large multi-national corporations, and private equity-held businesses); buy-side projects (typically for major multi-national corporations seeking growth through acquisitions); and financing, where we raise debt and/or equity capital to support management buy-outs, acquisition financing, or recapitalizations. The Investment Banking Analyst will have the opportunity to work alongside TKO Miller’s primary transaction team, which works with clients in a variety of end markets including manufacturing, construction products and services, industrial services, packaging, consumer products, and business and healthcare services.
